Family had a wonderful trip on the Coastal Explorer Tour. Perfect tour for inexperienced people to enjoy kayaking without having to learn technical skills. Our guide, Christine, was knowledge and I felt safe with her out in the bay.
Had a great time kayaking with my family on Bellingham Bay. The Community Boating Center offers a great opportunity to enjoy boating fun when you don't have one yourself. Can't wait to do it again. Staff were very friendly, professional and adhered to Covid safety rules.
I love the Community Boating Center! Such a great space to provide access to Bellingham Bay! The CBC is full of friendly staff and volunteers that love to help get people on the water. The Community Boating Center helped me find a community of wonderful paddlers and sailors that made me feel at home. Such a great place and I can't recommend it enough!! 🤩🤩
not recommending as my friend had a bad experience
They could improve by: - having a boat ready on time when a rental reservation is started - help with carrying the boat down the dock so customer can avoid horrible back pain afterward - help with launching the boat and getting it back to the shore so customers can avoid getting their feet wet - provide a 2 person boat (as reserved) instead of a 1 person one for 2 person as it endangers customers - respect the rental duration and not try to cut it down since customer paid money for the total duration not just half of it
Well I finally rented a kayak and paddled around the Bay... I loved it. They made it so easy for me to do this! I have a lovely sailboat, but it turns out that I love to paddle... Thanks, CBC!
Thank you for the Tuesday night "free paddle", I had a wonderful time! What a great community event.
Ran out of reservations in 30 minutes and all of the employees were extremely rude and unhelpful when I had questions. Will not be recommending this place or it’s events.
I would highly recommend the Community Boating Center, everyone that I interacted with was so kind, helpful, and full of knowledge. I rented a kayak for ski to sea and it was a very organized and easy process. Thank you Erica! It is a great place for anyone to go particularly if you have little to no experience on the water. I worked with an amazing kayak instructor there named, Emily, who was incredibly knowledgeable and patient, it is clear she has a great passion for what she does. She helped give me the confidence I need... read more
