I miss our dear friends from Little Rock since we moved to the Washington, DC, and miss some of the businesses, most of all, Community Bakery, one of the pillars of Downtown! Great for gifts, treats, special occasions, everyday specialties, or just a fun gathering place for conversation on important issues of the day. Most importantly, now our brother/son John Brandenberger is there!
I'm giving this one star, not because of the food. It was great. But the little girl behind the counter was very rude and disrespectful. I did not appreciate that at all. Very bad business. I asked for a manager and he was so stoned he didn't even know what I was saying to him. Very sad when this good of a bakery can't have quality employees who treat their customers well. Food was yummy! People were friendly! Atmosphere was inviting! They even have a little dog bowl outside for times when customers want to bring their fur babies and dine outside. Definitely bringing my Priscilla (my big furbaby) here with me in the spring! :)
