I had an extremely negative experience with Dr. Pettyjohn. From the start, the nurse was rude, pulling out Pap smear tools before I explained why I was there and dismissively saying, “Well, if Dr. Pettyjohn wants you to get undressed, she’ll tell you.” The entire appointment was rushed, and I left feeling completely dismissed and unheard. I was crying because no one was listening to me. Care was great throughout, I loved Dr Ackerman. She is wonderful and took excellent care of me. My review would have been 5 stars if not for today. This review is for postpartum care where I was refused an IUD because another doctor was too busy with other appointments. I find this to be so irresponsible! It was hard to even get this appointment as OB appointments are booking out months in advance. Dr Pettyjohn didn’t care about a postpartum patient getting birth control, didn’t even offer any alternative for the meantime. S... read more
Grateful to have found an OBGYN practice that takes my concerns seriously. The entire staff is fantastic, caring and very responsive. Felt very at ease with my primary NP, Alicia Shulman, since the first visit. There have been short waits at times, but my appointments have never felt rushed. Having the ultrasound clinic and lab upstairs is also very convenient.
