Don't go to the VW service department. They tried to tell my daughter that a part that was good needed to be replaced, but they also told her she should replace a part in case it fails in the future. SHOP US NEVER!!
Engine light came on in my VW Golf, was told it was transmission related and that they could do a flush for $349 (which they couldn’t guarantee would fix the problem) and if that didn’t fix the problem I would need a new transmission for which I was provided a quote of $7,500. Note that the car isn’t even worth $7,500. Nice try though. Took the vehicle to a a garage in Wakefield which specializes in transmissions and they’re fixing the simple problem for $285, parts & labor. Worst experience EVER. They “sold” me a car they didn’t have a title for. I didn’t find out until I called to ask about delivery. Was told they would process the 1000 refund for my deposit. The next day they call me to try and sell me another car, which was already sold. I get hung up on by Dan in the business office for demanding my refund be processed. I then get a call from customer relations, another rude sarcastic “gentleman” who gives me attitude for demanding a refund. Crooks, liars and very poor service. Never again.
