I had a great experience with the surgical care at Inova Loudoun Hospital, but my experience with Commonwealth Emergency Physicians was less positive. I received a $787 bill from them NOT INOVA EMERGENCY CARE. IT IS SCAM!
I received a text from a collection account for an ER visit in March 2025. As I am cautious of all other text scams (i.e. IRS), I googled this collection and found it to be accurate. Called Commonwealth phone number and they had record of this bill. They said that they had texted me three times, but did NOT send any mail correspondence. First time I have ever heard of this. I was in ER in November of 2024. I received no statements, and no texts. I called billing twice for paper copies mailed. Nothing has arrived in the mail after 3 weeks. How can I get my bil?
Like many here, I first learned of CEP and a balance owed when I received a collection notice around six months after an ER visit. I contacted CEP and they said they had sent a text message in addition to two paper invoices in the mail. Sure enough, they did text me and I inadvertently overlooked it.
