Scam. If I could grant negative stars I would. I never received a bill in the mail or phone call. 6 months after a hospital visit, receive a text message from a collections company. I called CEP, and they gave me a scripted response about how they mailed two invoices and "Unfortunately we did not hear back from you". Have some decency and send out a proper invoice. Many other reviews show others experienced the same.
I had a great experience with the surgical care at Inova Loudoun Hospital, but my experience with Commonwealth Emergency Physicians was less positive. After my procedure, I received a separate, unexpected bill that wasn’t visible in my patient portal and was eventually sent to collections without proper communication . I received a $787 bill from them NOT INOVA EMERGENCY CARE. IT IS SCAM!
I received a text from a collection account for an ER visit in March 2025. As I am cautious of all other text scams (i.e. IRS), I googled this collection and found it to be accurate. Called Commonwealth phone number and they had record of this bill. They said that they had texted me three times, but did NOT send any mail correspondence. First time I have ever heard of this.
