I like to bring my daughter here to visit. We enjoy interacting with the grandmas and grandpas, as my four year old calls them The building is well cared for and the staff are always eager to help. The dining area and outdoor patio are a beautiful place for us to play and talk with people. We often find ourselves on the memory care floor with the visiting daycare children singing songs and playing games. I have toured and visited twice at the Commons. While visiting I talked to a man that was leaving to play some golf. I asked him how it was to live there and he said it was like a five star hotel and would never move. To me that would be a place that I would like to live when I need some assistance.
Severely understaffed. My dad is not keep clean or shaved. It used to be excellent but has gone down hill. It won't win awards anymore without drastic changes.
They said my father in law could "age in place" without having to move out of Commons. The administration has changed and now, after 6 years, he has to move out! They said he had 30 days to find a facility but abruptly changed it to 5 days! Do not let them do this to your love ones! It isn't the same caring facility it once was!
The Commons on Marice is a great place to work as a CNA. The staff are all very well educated on how to be great caregivers. I would recommend all fellow CNA's to apply and to join our welcoming team!
