I have been to five or six showrooms across LA and SF and am used to hearing systems that are technically better than mine in one or more areas but walking away still preferring my current set up. I recently visited Common Wave Hi-Fi in LA, and my experience was absolutely fantastic. Wes and Dmitry are true professionals—incredibly friendly, welcoming, and equipped with an extreme wealth of knowledge regarding hi-fi equipment, system synergy, and proper setup. They generously spent a significant amount of time with me, allowing me to audition various systems, including multiple versions of the DeVore speakers I was interested in. Finally set up my new motor-integrated laser TV cabinet and screen bundle! As you can see from the photos, the clean look is exactly what I was going for—the screen completely disappears when not in use. I’m now looking to add a sound system to complete the setup. I’m thinking of placing a slim soundbar on top of the cabinet or maybe tucking some compact speakers into the drawers (shown in photo). Has anyone tried a similar setup? I want to make sure the audio hardware doesn't interfere with the projector’s light path.
Had a wonderful experience here. Went in because I was having a few issues with my turntable that I couldn't quite pinpoint. Thought that I potentially needed a new stylus and cartridge. Wes went above and beyond in diagnosing the issues, thoroughly explained why these issues were occurring, and resolved all of them.
