Nice idea, but the coffee wasn’t great and the bagels were insanely salty.
If you're looking for a coffee place to hangout, read a book, maybe even play a game; if you bring the family, a significant other, or maybe just come solo it's worth stopping by. Decor and music remind me of my mom with prince playing and deep purple on the walls. Wound up playing a whole round of scrabble over a couple of lattes. Fantastic spot just across from the Lombard Metra station, perfectly located to grab a coffee before you catch a train. The interior is very charming, with a wide selection of books, board games, and art supplies to pass the time. I could see myself spending hours here. The owner, Jeffrey, was incredibly warm and hospitable. I had a great conversation with him; he made a delicious cappuccino and even threw in free biscotti. Highly recommended!
Calm, friendly cafe. Lots to do: reading, games, painting, co-working. Plus, some bites!
