I called three places for topsoil that advertised to deliver in the Lacey area where I live. Two never returned my calls. Commodities Unlimited was the third, and they did exactly what I wanted out of a company. They answered my call with a live person, a very nice lady who took my order. They delivered my ten yards of topsoil on time. It was high quality and the price beat the advertised prices of the places that didn't call me back. What else could you want? I highly recommend.

Purchased the NW Garden Mix in about 2021. It was awesome dirt: loamy and fertile. The veggies in the garden loved it! Purchased some more in 2025 and the change was significant: clumpy with lots of foreign materials in it including plastic, shards of glass, and an occasional nail. Bottom line they did (really) well for me originally but not so much recently. I would try them again but would closely inspect what they have on hand before purchasing.

I have never used this place before but was excited to find organic soil for my garden. I bought half a yard of compost and mixed it into my vegetable beds and added it around some shrubs and a couple roses just for it to burn and yellow everything it touched. It killed a few young plants. I don't think it was aged properly and I have never had compost do this before. I returned their dirt but wouldn't return my money or admit any wrong.
