WORST SALON EVER – So they tried to tell me that a "single process" means they just put color on the roots. then when we finally agreed upon what was being done with my hair they brought out a color swatch book. i chose a medium brown...my hair came out bright red!!! then they told me that to fix it they need to put highlights in my hair. for another $100. when I said no, they told me to give it time, and eventually I would like my hair. stay away!!!!! ps I have two other co-workers that went there....both regreted it as wel... read more
Very consistent service - great value – I don't post reviews that often but read a review from a disgruntled customer who obviously has a vendetta against someone, so I thought I'd share my experience. I've been here at least 15 times and consistently get treated with respect and great service - not to mention, a great haircut each time I'm there, and I have to say that every time I walk in I see other customers smiling and they seem to have a very loyal following. Don't waist your money and energy in this salon!!!!1 – i can't tell you about good but I can tell you about bad and ugly. I went in for a haircut and asked for a trim, but walked out with uneven and horrible cut. Waiting for my hair to grow back in tears.
incredible highlights – Best highlights I have ever had. Benjamin has done my higlights for the past two years and I had him do them for me right before my wedding. The pictures are stunning and I love my hair. I really honestly get compliments on my hair color often and I normally end up with it in a messy poney tail without doing any prep work.... so the color and cut make up for the fact that I don't have the time or the energy. Strongly recomend
Best for Blonde Highlights – I have been a client of Comfort Zone for a year now. I found out about the salon from some coworkers at work (because I loved their hair!) Both of them are blondes and recommended Benjamin. I am so glad I found him! He is really an expert at blonde hair. Please do not waste your time or money. Save your hair. – The layers were horrendous + the highlights were way too brassy. When I asked for a redo, he argued with me, saying that "other's opinions do not matter."
The Comfort Zone Lives Up to Its Name – The Comfort Zone is extraordinary. Since moving to NYC, I've generally had my hair styled in whatever neighborhood I was living in. I plan on making the trip to the Comfort Zone no matter my address. The minute you walk in the door, the entire staff makes you feel welcomed. Sarah cuts and styles my hair like nobody else in NYC. The Comfort Zone is definitely a cut above the rest.
DANIEL FABULOUS COLOR – So far, I went to Daniel at Comfort Zone Salon twice & he's consistently gentle in cutting hair with a great eye for color (which I appreciate). I've had lots of over-cut haircuts in the past & I appreciate that he's a minimalist when it comes to cutting off hair. Great Salon on the Upper East Side – At The Comfort Zone I received beautiful highlights on my dark, curly hair. My hair now looks great! It's healthy looking and very natural.
