The staff at this hotel are all great . The housekeeping crew is are especially awesome . Theses ladies go above and beyond to make sure your stay is clean and safe for your family . To the point the hotel is under construction and the push laundry carts from there hotel down the drive back and forth to make sure we sleep on clean sheet. As a former Diamond, current Gold member, I confidently say that this is by far the worst Choice Hotel I've ever experienced. The entry door was broke, hallways smelled of mildew, comforter was stained, towel had hair in it and was dingy, and the ironing board didn't work. The swimming pool was down the entire time and workout had the same towels, trash, and stuff on the floor the entire time. I had to buy towels and sheets after they promised to refresh the room. I spent the weekend in Longview for the Great Texas Balloon Race and stayed at the Comfort Suites . I have stayed at Choice Hotels properties for many years and prefer their rooms , reasonable rates , breakfast , and friendly employees .
This facility has recently been updated although the pool was not available due to a future inspection. The staff was more than accommodating. Carter provided excellent customer service and helped me in a situation which the manager would have to approve so I spoke with the owner Jay and he worked with me. I have a loved one that is in the process of passing at the hospital there so he was very nice and offered his condolences as well.
