When in comes to in-home care, Comfort Keepers is the "real deal"! I had been living with and caring for my mom since 2000, when my dad passed away. I will never use this company again or would I recommend anyone else use them. Dellie Hinton set a plan for my parents and did not follow through with making sure it was done. My parents are 87 years old and need minor assistance with keeping things straightened up and changing depends. On several occasions on visits with my parents in the middle of the day I found several depends on the floor that were urine soaked in the bedroom and bathroom. There is always some risk and trepidation when you entrust your elderly parents to a caregiver provider. The risk and uncertainty is magnified significantly whenever the caregiving engagement is orchestrated remotely. However, Comfort Keepers of Oveido were stellar in taking care of Mom and Dad for over the last 6 months. Finding just the right home health care aide for someone you truly love who is suffering from a critical or terminamillness is difficult and requires some trial and error. There is a huge disconnect between what is promised from the manager at Comfort Keepers regarding what the caregivers will provide and what is actually provided. The care was very disappointing. There were constant problems from sitters not showing up for work to sleeping on the job. Terrible. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
