Don’t bother if you want to get any sort of sleep. Booked here for two nights thinking it’ll do for two people seeing family, spent both nights awake hearing people stomping around, shouting, slamming doors, and fighting in the hallway. Our first room stunk of cigarettes which we were moved, but the next one was absolutely filthy! Didn’t smell all that better. The elevator started making water sloshing noises which when it was reported to staff, they could not care less.

The location is very convenient, with Coles, cafés and restaurants close by, and it’s lovely to be able to walk down towards Raby Bay. The hotel itself is fine as a very basic option for a short stay. That said, the rooms and common areas are quite tired and would benefit from some significant updating and maintenance. During my 2-night stay, the outdoor tables remained quite dirty, and there were a number of maintenance issues in the room. This hotel is tired and neglected. Let’s start with the cracked tile paving around the swimming pool. This a tripping hazard and very slippery when wet. The room we stayed has one lounge chair with one leg broken, so unusable. The towel rail in the bathroom would fall down dumping towels on the tile floor that needed to be scrubbed badly. Stayed one night and glad it was no more as I would have just gone home for a better night sleep anyway. The walls are paper thin and we where on the bottom floor, I swear there was a a group of Elephants upstairs it was 10:30pm and we wanted to so badly go to sleep but the people up stairs where stopping about that room that every step they made echoed through my head.
