In summary, I didn’t like that the man with the French accent tried to grift me for a generic, used stem. (And he didn’t seem to like that I wasn’t a hapless idiot who couldn’t realize what he was doing) I used to think highly of this place and now I don’t. In fact I recommended this shop to my buddy and he bought a great used road bike. So you’re welcome Columbus I needed a shorter stem, they have a selection of used ones, no prices. I was on Craigslist looking for a new bike and saw Columbus Cyclery's large used bike catalogue. I was pleasantly surprised by not only the quality but the prices of the selection and spent some time browsing before finding a raffle to win a free bike. Some time later, I received an email stating that I had won the raffle. I couldn't believe I had actually won but it was real. Thank you so much to Columbus Cyclery for this opportunity. I will definitely be coming back for any future bike purchases or needs.
