The only reason why I give 2 stars is that they actually took time to find the answer to the problem for my mom. Otherwise, honestly they treat people who receive government insurance like they homeless.
This used to be the best hospital in the city. I have been going there for 53 years. Three of my brothers and both of my children were born there. This hospital has gone so far downhill I am a palled. The staff at the entrance are all rude and mean. Nobody has a smile on their face. I brought a sample in I was told to drop it off at the lab. The ED is terrible. Slow to medicate for pain. All the machines beep constantly. “The BP is high so it is beeping”. FOR FOUR HOURS STRAIGHT! And the machine across the way and the next door machine, constant beeping. Waiting 7 hours for surgery there with the constant beeping! What kind of HELL!
A fucking joke. I work as a case manager and services the mental health population. I always have issues with getting clients services through their psych/mental health unit. Today was just a big joke and they showed their racist ass. I accompany a client who was ready for inpatient treatment and have been struggle with their mental health. I have been sitting at st Mary's since Monday with my sister and her 27 year son.. He has been battling cancer since May of 2012 and He has had 2 brain surgeries within 48 hours and as a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan was looking forward to watchng the game which starts at 7 tonight with his older brother. Unfortunately some hospital rules prohibit visitors in the rooms from 7-8.
