As many have updated their review, I will follow suit. Sophia was a superstar, and it’s a shame her talent to couldn’t be retained. I hope she is off doing bigger and better things! This is my first apartment in Seattle, and I am so grateful we found a gem! I feel safe, secure, and management has been more than fair and responsive to the very few issues we've had. We appreciate Sophia and the Columbia Modern Living team for fostering such a great environment!
Dinged us on move out for a bunch of stuff that wasn't even from us. They will charge you on move out regardless of how you leave the apartment. They took $1000 out of our deposit for "6 hours of cleaning" after we spent an entire day cleaning the apartment. Only redeeming quality was the maintenance guy and easy parking. Would not recommend leasing from this company.
Columbia Modern Living went downhill over the last year. Not only did the building get nastier but there were maintenance issues. At one point the garbage wasn't emptied for over a month. My washer was broken for 2 months. They said that they would give me a credit for it but never did. They charge you for everything on move out even if it was messed up when you moved in over 3 years ago. They charged over $400 for resurfacing the bathtub when it was no worse than I moved in.
