This clinic does not prioritize patience nor respect of time. Took my mother here to see her doctor. That apt went fine. Was told we had to wait for the nurse to administer meds for my mom. Waited close to 90 mins for the nurse to get back from her hour lunch. Had I not been with my mom I know she would’ve been waiting twice as long.
The counselors and doctors refuse to diagnose you with anything, even given you clearly have severe depression. The counselor will try to make you do "coping skills" even if you have no energy which was stated. They don't think logically and will just try to shove medication down your throat. It's frustrating, they refuse to actually discuss the problems and possibilities, and instead they give you this bs plan.
We had a great experience with Columbia Area Mental Health. Lauren was extremely personable and helpful to our needs. She is just what our family needed today. She got us in with little notice and was so easy to talk with. The person at the front desk was also so kind and helpful. They were short staffed when we arrived and she did not get flustered and was so nice. I highly recommend this organization.
