Only reason I have lived here so long is because they allow dogs. Between 2 different property managers & different maintenance guys nothing has EVER gotten fixed over the years. Everyone pays a different price for rent. Ours is outdated & we pay the most out of everyone who has the same bed/bath we do. No working fire alarms. Fire extinguisher is expired by a couple years. My husband and I lived here for about two years. We first lived in a one bedroom apartment with Kayla as our property manager and we did not have any issues. We then moved into a two bedroom with Becky as our property manager and we have issue after issue. None of our maintenance issues were ever addresses, we didn't have heat in our bedroom, our closet door was off the track when we moved in and never fixed, I gave a move in checklist of issues that were never addressed. Colony Apartments Weighing the pros against the cons I have experienced in this apartment complex. Pros: nice community, most of the staff is friendly, the grounds and buildings have recently gone through several needed upgrades, fitness center centrally located for all of the apartments, close to public transportation, close to Woodfield mall, etc. Cons: they have consistently raised the rent each year I have lived here (average $30-40 per month), they have one leasing agent who is a terror to deal with (the rest are nice t... read more

Colony apartment The apartments are cleane. Decent size. Wish laundry was in every building instead of every other. Nice pool. Ample parking. Pool and party room.
It's okay... This is an okay place to live. The pool is a definite plus. The price is more than it's worth, this was the first of 5 years that we've been here that the rent didn't go up. Most people pick up after their pets, it is a constant battle for the property manager. Generally a quiet place with some activity in the courtyard in the early evening. Land lord is very friendly and prompt when things need taken care of. Grounds are clean and well kept.
