BEDBUGS!!!! I planned on staying for months while in town for work to save money, after just over a week I left after finding a bedbugs. The person onsite operating the place, terry, who did his best to act intimidating originally told me he owned the place and it was his retirement since getting out of jail, on check out he denied being the owner, acting like I was making it up, and took off his glasses like he was getting ready to do something, Upon leaving I had previously paid up for 5 more days, which he would not refun... read more
The staff is wonderful and nice .. But yesterday when I walked in my room and it smelled so bad. The floor in the bathroom was so dirty and smelled like pee. The light in the bathroom didn't work, the fridge was so dirty and smelled as well as dirty sheets. I didn't even have a tv in my room, or telephone. I personally couldn't stay there so I got my money back and came to Super 8. Soo much better.
I resently stayed at A colonial Motor Inn. The room was clean and the atmosphere was friendly. The nightly rates are very afordable and I would reccomend this motel to anyone that is traveling or passing through southern Iowa.
THIS UNIQUE LITTLE MOTEL IS A WONDERFUL PLACE TO STAY!!! I COULD BRING MY DOG FOR JUST A SMALL, ONE TIME FEE. THE OWNER AND OTHER STAFF ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND DO A VERY GOOD JOB AT MAKING SURE YOUR STAY WILL BRING YOU BACK!!! I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS MOTEL TO ANYONE (ESPECIALLY IF YOUR TRAVELING WITH A DOG), IT'S VERY HARD TO FIND LODGING WHEN YOU HAVE A PET. SO, IN A NUTSHELL...I KNOW I WILL BE BACK TO STAY AT "A COLONIAL MOTOR INN". THANKS FOR BEING FRIENDLY & "PET FRIENDLY"!!!
