Terrible Store This is the worst store I have ever encountered. They are antiquated, the owner's wife, Paula, painstakingly makes customers wait while she dilly dallies on the phone or having petty conversations with her husband and daughter whom she employs to work for them. Their daughter is a sweetheart but I pity her and pray for her to have such dishonest parents. They play Gospel music in the background while they rip off people and talk about people with immunity and then ask people to pray for them.
Cheats Like the other person here I wished I could give a better rating, but this store is filthy. Behind the counter they have left over food days old, and I mean days old. Their daughters are treated like they are working in children slave countries in China. Paula barking orders to her daughters like indentured slaves. Her and her husband should be called in for verbal child abuse and child neglect working them like dogs.
My humble retorical To whom it may concern, I am the lady that helps at The Collector's Lair. Our business is very complicated since we deal with used as well as new merchandise. That is why when people inquire about how much we pay for items we have to educate ourselves with how much something sells on the market or how much we can sell it for in our little store. Our response does not make everybody happy, because everybody is trying to survive in a harsh economical world. We explain most of the time why we offer that and ... read more
Disappointed Ok, I'll start by saying that my first experience here was ok... I definitely questioned it by the outside and in. It's a mess. At first, the people that worked there seemed nice. I think there names are Paula and I'm actually not sure of the guys name, I think it might be James? He wears a hat backwards and is probably about 5'6. He follows you and will not let you shop in peace. The first time I bought a game there I took it home and it didn't even have the 2nd disc. The next time I went to get a game there I ... read more
Perspective from someone who's visited the store for close to two decades. I've been going to the collector's lair ever since I was a little kid , which has been for nearly 20 years. As I have such a long history with this place, I have a feeling of responsibility to write a full, unbiased review about this place that is based on more than a single visit or two to the store in recent times.
Great Place with Great Stuff As the title says, it has ample things for all people. They are willing to work with you on price and will take things at a reasonable price. The have all different things from models from France and Japan, trading cards, sports memorabilia, and classic gaming systems. They have great staff, and is a fun place to be. There might be some dust and a bit cluttered, but there are diamonds in the rough at that great establishment.
I wish there was less than one star! This place is so dirty. I tripped over a box trying to get down an isle. My sister picked up and item and it actually came from the retail store that i work in. i knew the exact price of it brand new. it was the brand from my store. They had marked thro the price. so i thought they might want less for it. Nope. After 20 min of "Checking" the price and my my husband and my sister leaving the store. They follow me outside and say they wanted double the original price for it. I looked at the... read more
Stay Away from this Craphole This place is an embarrassment to all geeks, nerds, collectors, hobbyist...basically anyone that breathes. The place is a mess with no organization. Trash everywhere. And what the hell is up with the expired bread for sale at the front???
Incredible selection of rare & valuable collectables In a smaller town you would expect it to be hard to find sports cards, rare dvds, and all types of entertainment memorabilia; however, the Collector's Lair meets all of these needs. I personally enjoy going there for their selection of dvds which are always buy 4 get 1 free. They are reasonably priced and have a revolving selection. Chances are if you are a fan of any particular movie or TV show, they will have some type of memorabilia for you. The only downside to the sto... read more
