Need a reality check The owners James & Paula are incessantly talking about how they have done no wrong , everyone is against them etc.They rarely if ever take responsibility for their own actions.Felony charges, store burning to the ground etc. Never their fault.The new store is a crowded mess.Preaching the Gospel with one hand, while buying stolen merchandise and putting it on Ebay with the other.Business continues as usual.Yes i agree they need prayer , but it's for them to clean up their act.
STAY AWAY!!!! SCAMMER!!! This guy is a complete scam artist!!! He steals, lies and cheat to make a dishonest buck. He sells worthless stolen junk and counterfeit items. Save you money and go somewhere else...anywhere else for that matter. SCAM ARTIST!
Disappointed Ok, I'll start by saying that my first experience here was ok... I definitely questioned it by the outside and in. It's a mess. At first, the people that worked there seemed nice. I wish there was less than one star! This place is so dirty. I tripped over a box trying to get down an isle. My sister picked up and item and it actually came from the retail store that i work in. i knew the exact price of it brand new. it was the brand from my store. They had marked thro the price. so i thought they might want less for it. Nope. After 20 min of "Checking" the price and my my husband and my sister leaving the store. Collectors Lair is a mess. The place is a complete mess, the people who work there are probably ex-cons, and the prices are way too expensive (especially considering the condition of many of the items laying around). You want a mint comic book? Not here--they are damaged by the time they hit the shelves. Not the nicest people either...I think they hate their lives and their job. Definitely avoid.
Incredible selection of rare & valuable collectables In a smaller town you would expect it to be hard to find sports cards, rare dvds, and all types of entertainment memorabilia; however, the Collector's Lair meets all of these needs. I personally enjoy going there for their selection of dvds which are always buy 4 get 1 free. They are reasonably priced and have a revolving selection. Collectors lair?...more like "RIP YOU OFF lair" I have actually been going to this store since I was a young kid and I eventually grew up and found out that these guys have been ripping me off for years! They will charge you 3x what something is actually worth and the pricing in their store is awful! And don't bother trying to trade in anything to their store because you will be offered an insulting price!!!
