Total Rip Off I went to these people because they said they accepted Medicaid. When I arrived they told me they did not. They said they would only accept medicaid for the exam. I agreed and we did the exam,. The doctor was a total pro. Afterward, the clerk began selling me the glasses. The first frames he showed me were 549 dollars. (Mind you they know I have medicaid) when i refused that he offered me a pair for 499, and eventually 199. I broke my glasses after 4 months and they fixed them in 1-day. I want to thank them so much.
Cohen's Optical and GVS (optical insurance) charged our family $1,200 for two pair of glasses that should have been $300 based on the GVS plan documentation. They took advantage of my wife and daughter with "same price as insurance scam" ($1,200) then would not change our order to the documented insurance price ($300) when we called 30 minutes after sale. Steer clear of this Cohen‘s fashion optical. It took me 12 days to get my glasses from them and then only to find that one lens was made incorrectly and the day that I brought him home the lens fell out of the glasses. I called the store I was told the manager would call me back he never did. I went to the store to get a refund. He refuses to give refunds.It’s a very poorly run business I will never do business there again.
This is the worst Cohen's Fashion Optical. The previous ownership was much better. The manager is a liar. I went for glasses and was told I could only receive progressive lenses. I was never advised on how progressive lenses would affect me and was never told the options I had. The store wants you to purchase the most expensive product, plain and simple, instead of spending $574 out of pocket for progressive lenses.
