Pia Ferraro, She was my psychiatrist for almost 2 years and she diagnosed me with bipolar unspecified, not knowing what I have taking medication’s, and I might not even be bipolar. As soon as I have these problems occurring, she went and left me and said I had to go somewhere else instead in a in person. Also she’s not even a psychiatrist shes a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) rather than a psychiatrist. The new provider that I have said that’s not necessary. I stayed with this place for almost 6 years and did not feel like my concerns were heard. I stayed on antidepressants for years with no results, and i wanted to try Abilify to add on to my medication and i was told no because i am not bipolar. I informed her (which i shouldn’t have to) that Abilify is used off label to help aid the medication. My new psychiatrist told me that i should have been given Abilify.
