I had a family cookout there yesterday. My problem is that when the kids wanted to swim it was pricy $15 per person for out of state residents. Now here is my problem and I hope the staff at the pool can fix it. The old lady at the counter is RUDE. Her lack of customer service and her attitude almost made me pack up my kids and turn back around. The way she talked to people is unacceptable. **this review is only referring to the swimming pool** yesterday i decided to take my son and his friend here for their last weekend b4 school started. We get here, walk up to pay..$10 to get in?? This is just absolutely ridiculous, but whatever, I was there so I went up to pay the lady $30 to enter the swimming pool area..She tells me that it is cash only no credit cards, no ATM and the nearest ATM is at Rutter's about 10 minutes down the road. A close stop from home to have the chance to get back to Nature. Seeing the birds and the water gives a relaxing feel. Lots of activities to do at the lake. Always back to see what is new.
Excellent facilities. One draw back is a lot of people swimming near the boat ramps and those people need to be out of the way when a boat is launching or docking. Our fishing licenses money goes towards the betterment of the facilities and we don't need people who don't use these facilities to mess them up or use them like it's a swim platform.
