Started in 1924 as Aladin Theater, it is an integral part of the artistic and cultural heritage of the Cocoa city. Renamed as the The Historic Cocoa Village Playhouse, it also featured in the National Register of Historic Places. This theater that started out with silent movies is now a thriving arts center of the city.

This is by far one of our favorite places. The staff, the actors, all who are involved with CVP are top notch !

It is a wonderful historic theater. We attended a performance of The Miracle Worker this past weekend. I was very impressed to discover that the production was put on by all volunteers. It was also heartwarming to find out that they were partnering with the Lions Club and splitting the fund raising effort 50/50. The theater is a valuable asset to the Cocoa Village district. Wonderful shops and restaurants to visit before/after performances. Looking forward to our next experience.

I just visited the playhouse for the first time, to see the Nutcracker ballet with my mother. We both enjoyed the show as well as the venue. Returning to see the Nutcracker Ballet may very well become a new Christmas tradition of ours.
