Having recently retired, my wife and I are in the processing of downsizing. Also caused us to assess our faihthful 2000 Cobalt 226. We decided on a 200S DP with a 240 HP engine. Just completed 20 HRS after 4 weeks. Our 226 sold in less than 1 week. It was well loved and in great condition. Cobalt is our only choice after almost 20 years of experience.
Purchased a brand new 2017 220s Cobalt and after having it for 48 hours there were significant scuff marks where the bumpers sat. We immediately installed whips on our dock but anytime we dock anywhere else, the side of the boat gets scratched. After having it for a month, it looks absolutely terrible with marks on all sides of the boat. It is very obviously a defect in the gel coat and Cobalt's response was horrific, blaming us for damaging it.
I own my dream since last year. A 200BR 2006 with 260hp. Cobalt is just the best boat ever made! Don't take your dreams to the cemetery, dream it, wish it, do it! #cobaltboatsbelgium
