I have had one child SENT HOME with a broken tibia at 2 because I was told he was “faking it”. Same child was sent home at 4 with a sprained knee because I was told he couldn’t walk due to a virus (even though I informed the doctor he hadn’t been sick in over 6 months) I had a different child sent home with a back injury after informing the doctor this child was a competitive gymnast and there was definitely an injury; I was told it was strep. Started taking my children here three years ago, I’ve only met two staff members that are friendly and willing to help and answer questions.
My son is a new patient of Dr.Kendall and we all absolutely love her. My 2 year old is very scared of strangers especially doctors and she is so patient with him and extremely kind and thorough. She checks up on him regularly after a cold or sickness to see how he is doing And we think it’s just great, you can tell she really cares about her patients. We are so glad to have her as our new pediatrician!
We waited in the exam room for the doctor over half an hour. As a parent of a teen it feels strange to be asked to leave the exam because the doctor wants to question your teen if they’ve had sex yet, tried drugs or alcohol etc. is this really part of a physical ... interrogation? I understand the premise but think it’s handled strangely and in the wrong setting.
