Trying to work something out on a 3.5 year old door that had a defect on day one. The installer "fixed" it by installing a screw which worked loose and bent both the panel with the screw and the corner of the adjacent panel. Now I have a loud snapping noise each time the panels bind on opening or closing. Since no warranty claim was filed at that time of installation, it is unclear what Clopay will do. Amazing Service – Pat is the owner of Coast Overhead doors and he showed up for my service call! I had a spring break on my door, He fixed the spring and did a service explaining everything that was done. Nice guy, very knowledgeable.
INEPT INSTALLATION AND SUBPAR CUSTOMER SERVICE – I'd give them lower than a 1 star if I could. The rails of the 2-door roll-up garage were not stablized on the side to the frame of the door - causing enough movement for the rollers to slip out of the track. This is the second time the rollers have come off the track. This is in a rental -- the 1st time it happened the tenant was able to fix it. There is now a new tenant. A very fine company to do business with ... – I've read both customer reviews and very much agree with the shorter one. The service was both excellent and quick and the installed product was exactly what we wished and their representatives (including pre-sale, installation, and post-sale) answered all of our questions quickly and with no evasion. BAD Customer Service with Coast Overhead Door – My order with Coast Overhead Door (in Huntington Beach, CA) was INCOMPLETE during INSTALLATION DAY (no pre-warning) and no follow-up was ever attempted to rectify the incompletion. BEWARE, this "mom & pop" type of operation.
