I bought a gift certificate from a charity auction. It was "dinner for 4 with beer and wine included" Obviously skeptical of what that would actually offer...we were blown away! The 4 of us ate whatever we wanted and had a few beers....we could have sat there all night with no restrictions. So generous of them! To make it even better, the food was awesome and the service even better! It is definitely our new go to local place! Great job Coalhouse!!
Pizzas tasty but very overpriced especially if you build your own, to add $4 onto the price for a few slices of onion or garlic seems extreme, my veggie pizza clocked in at $34 plus tax and tip 🤑🤑🤑 , cheese and sauce a bit on the mean side and there is a thick edge around the outside that has no topping on at all so really not edible
Been there a bunch of times, and have not had any mediocre food or beers. It does get quite busy at times, but that is to be expected of most (good) places in Stamford.
If I could give ZERO stars I would! The hostess/ owner was so rude. My husband and I came specifically for Wednesday night trivia, we were a party of 2 so she essentially pushed us to sit at the bar, instead of any of the many open tables. Yet, in comes at least 3 additional couples who are granted tables. Also our server and all other staff had such attitudes, they were obnoxious, rude, and dismissive. We visited Coalhouse for the first time Sunday around noon. Our server Lindsay gave us excellent care, and at our request, pointed out the IPAs and pizzas we might like. We had Old Haag and Little Heaven, and as Lindsay suggested, we split our large pie into two types on one pie. I have to say, the crust on this pizza is the best we've ever had.
