I’ve been with The Co-operators for 3 years, and this was the first time I didn’t have enough money in my account because I forgot that I added a person to my insurance. They charged me around $50 for a “Not Sufficient Funds” fee. I politely asked them to waive it since it was my first time, but they refused, saying it was a transaction cost. There is a lot of truth to only knowing how good or BAD your insurance provider is and that's once you've had to make a claim. Choose someone else!! 7-8 days wait to reply to EACH email is pretty lousy, especially having been a customer nearing 15yrs and this being our first claim. VERY disappointing
This office has completely obliterated my insurance record. Following an at-fault accident I was dropped as a client after making a claim. The reasoning they provided was “underwriting” due to the charge I had on my record. I called to explain that the charge would likely be dropped following a court date that was *two days* after my insurance was set to expire but they were completely unwilling to help even after being with this company for 5 years; the entire time I’ve owned a vehicle. This insurance company only takes your money and not cover you in case you were in an accident, they wont cover your property lost or for your injuries i don’t recommend them to anyone i had really bad experience with them been with them for 4 years no accidents no claims when i do have a claim they dont cover me
