Very upsetting situation. I was with an 82 year old who desperately needed a restroom. She is prescribed a narcotic from another doctor which she takes rarely. They would not let her use the restroom until they checked to see if she needed to provide a urine sample. Ok. I see. But, it took her forever to find someone to ask. When I complained I was told she would not discuss it with me. No apology. Rude. Unacceptable.

I have been a patient at this practice for over a decade. On my recent visit, the receptionist had forms to sign with her computer screen turned away, so I could not see the content. I politely asked her to explain what I was signing, which she did. When I entered the exam room, the nurse practitioner (whom I’ve also known for years) immediately accused me of being rude to the front desk. I have been coming here for more than 5 years. I have severe spinal damage as well as multiple other medical issues. The drs here actually listen and are willing to try different things to help with the pain. They are open about the risks to every procedure. Dr Batista has been the most consistent Dr I have seen through my years however I have dealt with most the drs that work in this office and would recommend them to my own mother.
