Clyde’s Chevy Chase has been a family gathering place for decades. Recent visit was mixed experience. Service was inexperienced / negligent. Food was good. Atmosphere is amazing due to the decor that does not conduct noise and comfortable AC

American-style food, with excellent beef, burgers and fish dishes. A clubby atmosphere with good service and the ability to converse easily and be heard. Probably more attractive to an older crowd, but guests of all ages do show up. One of my favorite restaurants!
I only rated the service and atmosphere low because this time when I went the air conditioning was out which overwhelmed the staff. I love this restaurant and will always go back.
Dined here for the first time to have lunch and overall had a great experience. Upon arrival, we were greeted by an amazing staff member and were seated immediately. Our server was great as well and was very attentive to our needs the entire visit. I ordered the catfish sandwich with fries and I was impressed by the portion sizes of both. I would suggest that the catfish be seasoned so that there's flavor. It tasted pretty bland but the sauce put on it helped. The fries were amazing though!
