Exactly what this hungry adventurous tourist was looking for. Great friendly staff, food is what many locals expressed one of best in area representing local Raleigh bar b que. Wish they took credit cards... cash only but ATM is in the place... but would have bought more if I could charge it :-)
I actually had fried chicken and collard greens. My mother in law , Lucy Johnson of Wilton, Arkansas and later Bakersfield, California made THE best chicken and collard greens. Lucy in heaven, forgive me. Clyde Cooper's is better. Thank you Cooper cousins of Rover/Chocowinity roots for taking us to Coopers in Raleigh where you live!!

We had Clyde Cooper BBQ at the family day for the Wake County Fire Training. Some of the best BBQ we have ever had, the fried chicken is AMAZING!!!
