The staff was wonderful and the food is great, the person at the register needs to work on her customer service skills. She’s rude and quite unfriendly...will not be back EVER and will tell my co workers not to return either.
The staff is good. The owner is a very rude. Don't think that I'll be back.
This relocated downtown staple has an updated decor. However, the pork lacks the authentic flavor of real "Down East" BBQ. Needs more vinegar & cayenne! Or optional commercial sauces likes Wells or Scotts

We like for you to taste the meat first without being soaked in sauce. Sauce is on the table to add to you liking. We've been doing something correct for 80 years:)
Found this place on a google search and man what a find. Food was amazing and staff so friendly. Ms. Debbie it was great talking with you. We live in Currituck, NC about 3 hours east of Raleigh but this will definately be one of the places we come back to.

Food service was fast and reasonable prices..(despite it's hard finding an parking spot, it was worth walking up 4 block's)
