Club Olympia opened its doors on October 1st, 1997. The fitness center had long been a dream in the making. It started with local resident, Lynn Roethke, who dreamed of becoming an Olympian. As a child, Lynn was determined to be an Olympic athlete. With a lot of work, and the help and support of the community, her dream became a reality. In the 1988 and 1992 Olympic Games Lynn represented the nation and her community in the sport of Judo. She brought home an Olympic silver medal.
