Just what the Bourbon Ordered – This place was great! Very small and quite not what you would expect in New Orleans. Food was good and service was really nice. Has a scary bathroom in the alley but that just added to our experiences there! Definitly go late night after you spent all night at Utopia or Red Rhino.
Ckicken-Fried Steak w/side of gravy – Get the chicken fried on a toasted bun, dressed and with a side of gravy. Delicious. Makes you want to slap your---, well you can figure out the rest. My good o'le New Orleans, it's the best.
It's All About the Ambience – Just a warning to the health nuts: Earl, the head cook, likes to drench everything in butter. My grits were literally swimming in it. But that guy is a born stand-up comedian. He can entertain all of his customers even if he sometimes comes across as a Southern Don Rickles. I will bet that when you leave the Clover you'll have one big grin slapped across your goofy mug.
Something different – If you get tired of the wonderful creole and cajun food and start craving a good old hamburger or a home style breakfast this is the very best place to go in the Quarter. The food is good, the value is great, and the staff are fun. It is a real New Orleans experience. If you go once you'll be back!
Wow! – My family ate at Clover Grill on a recent vacation, and it became one of the most memorable moments of our entire trip! Everyone was incredibly delightful, the food was amazing, and it was a really fun place to go!
worst expensive breakfast I ever had – I got undercooked hash browns, cold toast, coffee, two scrawny strips of bacon, store bought OJ and scrambled eggs for $9.00. This place is awful. The only redeeming quality is the entertainment provided by the queens with attitude behind the counter but even that wears thin when you've waited 20 minutes to get your food. I would never return to this awful diner.
The best burger in town – The clover Grill should be made a modern-day New Orleans landmark. Their signature burger, grilled under a hubcap, is not only the best burger in town, but the cheapest as well. The staff is always upbeat, and sassy. adn the best thing is that it's open 24 hours.
Bugers to Sober Up By – My kids, all 6 of them as soon as they get to New Orleans have to go to Clover Grill immediately to eat a burger and see the GREAT EARL.
whatta place! – you won't find a better value and more fun with your burger than the clover grill in new orleans!
