Not a place to safely learn to climb. Not a pleasant experience. No one has any certifications or credentials. The belay method is PROVEN out of date and NOT recommended by current AMGA (American Mountain Guide Association) standards. This is more an amusement park. I recommend RedPoint Climbing on Raeford Road. They have a credible staff with actual climbing experience and experience with AMGA courses.
An okay time Not a bad place...but compared to gyms around the nation, they are a bit dirty and out of date. Staff are okay, although most seem to have learned about climbing through books or playing on plastic.
Fun for all This is a great place to spend a saturday with your kids. The staff is well trained and very caring. We spent about 3 hrs there one recent saturday and had a blast. They are all about safety but also fun. My daugher is 11 and she had the best time scalling the walls as did my friends 13 yr old son. They showed just what to do and stood by to make sure we understood everything. I would diffently go back
