The Cliff House, where San Francisco begins (or ends), has always been a quaint and utterly charming stop for San Francisco visitors. Even with a renovation, the Cliff House maintains its original charm, but is now 21st-century spectacular. Gone are the old fashioned 1900s mahogany, tar and spar-like decor and fittings. I was shocked at the customer service their "host"didn't give us as we stood there unattended to and then two other people walked up and were greeted right as we stood waiting to be acknowledged! We left without eating and won't go back! Rude

The Cliff House (Sutro's) is a great restaurant and with a gorgeous view of the Pacific Ocean. I want to go back!
We enjoyed a wonderful lunch here while visiting from the other coast. The view was absolutely beautiful. The food was fresh, delicious and well presented, our hostess was friendly and really made us feel at home. Our server however had a bit of an attitude and had not quite mastered his timing, we often felt somewhat ignored. All in all though the people were great, we'll definitely be back when in the area.
Can't beat the amazing views and the fabulous food! Cocktails, service and the menu make for a great meal!
