This place was very ridiculous in many aspects. While already being exhausted and in distress, prepare to have just as many issues with insurance as you do your child. The therapists are extremely limited and highly biased. The recovery coaches are unknowledgeable. Clementines main goal is to have one eat as much as possible before insurance cuts out. I attended Clementine in March of 2023. I want to make it clear that Monte Nido is a medical model of a treatment facility, meaning their main focus is to weight restore you and get you out. Clementine has a lot of restrictions and an extremely unique approach to food. They make it a point that a relationship with food should not be extreme ( Ex: extreme restriction). Despite this, they make the clients meal plans extremely high and overfeed them, to another extreme, which doesnt really make a lot of sense in the long term. ... read more

I went to clementine in April of 2023. I was scared, nervous, and 2500 miles away from home. Clementine had a very loving community. Some Recovery coaches were not my favorite, but some were AMAZING. My favorite memories were when I played Mario Kart, Just Dance, and went mango picking. The food their was amazing and the nurses were as well! I have been home for 6 months now. It's been a little over a year since I was discharged from Clementine Miami. I truly believe that at the end of the day you need to have a certain level of self motivation when it comes to eating disorder recovery, that being said without the support of others this is incredibly challenging and there are staff members in clementine who would do anything to try and keep you on the path of recovery.
