I had a positive experience with Mr. Kent as my home inspector on a condo purchase. He was open to my questions as he went through the unit. He gave me the completed inspection report within a day, so that I had time to digest it during the attorney/inspection period. We also had a long follow-up phone call after he gave me the report, so that he could walk me through the report and answer additional questions. Highly recommend Clearview Home Inspections! Bill is very thoughtful, responsive, and does an incredibly thorough job. He was available on short notice not once but twice, and he produced high quality reports, which he walked us through with detailed explanations. Bill was great in all aspects of the home inspection. He followed up quickly, both to make the appointment and with the inspection report. Bill was very thorough in his inspection, making sure to take time to look at all appliances, the attic, kitchen and bathroom fixtures. His report was easy to understand -- he clearly identified items that needed to be addressed immediately versus ones that could be done at some point.
I chose Bill because he was the most responsive, and upon initial conversations, proved to be the most detail oriented inspector I could find in the Chicago west suburbs. While most inspectors offered 1-2 hour inspections, Bill was willing to spend much more time to catch all of the things that matter. Bill was timely, knowledgeable and performed a very thorough inspection on the 112 year old house I was purchasing. It was 100 degrees on the day and he persevered through and performed a quality inspection in the un-air conditioned space including the attic.
