I chose Dr. Contreras because of his statement that he treats the whole person, not just the eye. As someone with a complex medical history and an eye condition that may be connected to it, I believed he was exactly the specialist I needed. Unfortunately, I never had the chance to see him. The office assistants appeared to decide that I wasn't an appropriate patient before I could even schedule an evaluation.
