Always love Classic Bean. Been going there since they moved there.
Awful service lately. This used to be a great place to go but lately I'm put off by the service and quality of coffee. The coffee is over steamed and I have been ignored at the counter countless times. I walk up and stand there while they either chat or count tips. A simple "hi, be right with you" goes a long way. I get being busy, I've been there but they're not busy - they're pompous. We used to be regulars but I'm over it.
I love the vibes here so much! First time visiting Topeka, and I stopped here for a late lunch (about 2-3pm on a Monday). I’m used to cafes being jarringly bright and loud, but I didn’t even need to use my headphones while I was here. The carpet and soft seating options does a lot to help mute noise, and all of the lighting was indirect lamps, which really helps the cozy atmosphere. The food is pretty good, too!
