A Clarkston institution! The teachers are all incredible, extremely experienced faculty members, most with advanced degrees. I took piano lessons with Dr. Jim Wilhelmsen. Would recommend for any skill level, beginner to advanced.
My son had voice lessons with Mrs. Moore for approximately four years. She has helped him tremendously & he will be attending college this fall with a partial choir scholarship thanks to her. During this time, he received high scores at solo & ensemble and graduated with a Honors Musician Certificate. We highly recommend Mrs. Moore to anybody looking for lessons.
I already had 9 years of piano but I needed more. Director, Dr. James Wilhelmsen took me to another level-Rachmaninov! He helped me listen in a new way. Masterful teaching using repertoire to advance skills and musical understanding. Also, the building itself is historic and full of antiques. Who can resist the wild garden on the way to and from? -Mimi
The conservatory is a great place for beginners and professional musicians. I’ve only ever sung as a hobby, but Miriam taught me more in one session then I think I could have ever learned online. The place and people were very welcoming. Will definitely be coming back for another lesson!
The Clarkston Conservatory is a magical place of music, community & creativity. I would definitely recommend them! Music lessons for kids and adults. The lessons options runs the gamut from voice, piano, violin & beyond.
