I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with WVUM except for this doctor. This man is dismissive and condescending on all levels. I saw him for a third avulsion fracture on my right ankle. He listened and seemed concerned the first visit the second and third visits were awful- I felt whiplash after them. My third and final visit with him is what made me decide to get a second opinion. Just to provide perspective to negative reviews, I have had Dr. Monteleone for about a year now and enjoy his style and concern. He has advocated with specialists on my behalf. No doctor is perfect, but I have had a better relationship with Dr. Monteleone compared to other doctors I've seen in the past.
I wouldn't recommend that's Dr he wouldn't listen to me. He talked at me not to me . No Compassion at all . He got mad because of the medications that I've been on for 27 years said that I do not need to be on them so I just do what I do and find another doctor

Don't even consider Monteleone. I saw him at sports medicine for a knee injury. He persisted that my injury was due to pre-existing condition and referred to my fall as an incident. He wanted to do injections without an MRI. He is a terrible doctor. I demanded an MRI, and going to another doctor at Mon General. Mri showed extensive injuries that injections couldn't fix. Need surgery.
