I'm surprised at the negative reviews for Dr. Brown. I've never found him and others who work with him anything but friendly and competent. I have to make several trips to a skin doctor per year because of my fair complexion and sun damage. I always feel that Dr. Brown knows by sight what is wrong, but he carefully does biopsies and someone from the office follows up to let me know the results. I have no complaints.

This Dr. Brown is too worried about his No Shows, even without a night line for a cancelled appointment. There are too many other Dermatologist around. Let this clown loose customers, his reputation will eventually hurt his business.

the most disrespectful man ive ever met. I was in the presence building having a look over and ever since I got there it was BAD. I hear him YELLING at his staff, you feel the tension in that place! I asked him to repeat himself since im hard of hearing & I saw him ROLL his eyes at his MA thinking I didn't see him. im DISGUSTED! the assistants all look fearful of him and there is something very wrong with this practice! I got 0 questions answered. NEVER have your loved ones come to this man

I came in for a horrible rash in October that I'd for weeks. Both Dr. Brown & the PA confirmed the diagnosis by sight, w/o doing ANY labs. I followed their treatment for ringworm and eczema faithfully, tediously, & expensively, for MONTHS, driving an hour to only be seen for a couple minutes. Every time I came back, the ruder the PA got. Two weeks ago I switched to a new doctor who promptly did a biopsy on the rash and I found out today it is NOT FUNGAL, but in fact, a medication reaction.

I will not follow up with Dr. Clarence Brown and would strongly recommend against seeing him. He eyeballed half of the warts, told me he wanted to repeat a type of treatment that had previously failed, told me he didn’t have time to do a skin check but that his PA could. He instructed his PA to shave the warts down and apply acid, then interrupted him before the acid was applied and told me to get dressed and that I would have to follow up in 3 weeks. I work in healthcare and have never met a

My whole experience here was extremely disappointing. The receptionist is far from welcoming. I scheduled an appt with Dr Brown which was confirmed when I checked in, yet the PA walked in and nobody asked if that was okay with me. Then I felt judged. Apparently having a darker complexion gets you the comment, ".. now you know what I'm going to tell you ... you should not be using tanning beds." Never once have I stepped in a tanning bed, and I also happen to be a faithful user of sunscreen.

I saw Dr. Brown in his St. Joseph, Michigan office. The office was beautiful and very clean (even the public restroom was spotless). The staff was pleasant and helpful. Dr. Brown was so understanding and helpful. Great dermatologist! I would highly recommend!

Referred to Dr. Brown by my internist. He came highly recommended. Having lost a spouse to melanoma, I was looking for a new dermatologist who I would have confidence in accurate dx. Had a complete body check/removal of a skin growth. Dr. Brown was personable with a good sense of humor & very professional when performing the body check. Removal of growth was quick and pain free. Although I had to wait past my appointment time, I feel that I was afforded all the time necessary. Will return yearly
