I know I live in the area, but I had the occasion to stay here for a week recently while some renovations were being done to my house. The Rodeway Inn in town is very sketchy so I figured I'd try this Motor Lodge because it was the only other motel close (without going out to the expressway or another town). Boy was I surprised. The owners were nice, the rooms were clean and well appointed and it was quiet and the weekly rate was very reasonable. This is a secret little gem right in our midst - the kind of place folks wantin... read more

From the outside it looks super sketchy and I was reluctant to stay here to be honest it once we got to our room I was thoroughly impressed. Check I was a breeze and the guy was very nice. We got to our room and it was clean, has free WiFi, towels, mini shampoos and face washes and even a hair dryer! There's even a mini fridge and a microwave! I'd highly recommend coming here especially if your on a budget!

We were looking for a clean motel as close to Ascutney that was as inexpensive as possible. The Claremont Motor Lodge delivered upon all of our needs. The room could definitely use some cosmetic work but it was clean and the beds were comfortable.

Like I said you get what you pay for. I have stayed at this motel numerous times over the past 10 yrs or so both under the old owners and the new. Have always found it to be clean and pleasant and both sets of owners to be very accomodating of me the guest. Over time the new owners have and are updating and upgrading the rooms. And have actually implemented some suggestions I made to them. I have always found them to be courteous and pleasant. Its not the Hilton but your not paying Hilton prices either. Its a comfortable room... read more

This is a good place to stay overnight when you don't have an arm and a leg to spend(like us.) Our room was clean, large and had a kitchenette. The motel is located on outskirts of the city but was close to everything and also very close to Vermont where the motels get pricey quick. We will definitely be staying again when visiting this pretty area. Yes, it is outdated, which is why the price is low. We paid $52.00 for the night and $15 for our little dog. Getting the continental breakfast paid for the dog.

We attended a family 50th anniversary in Claremont and stayed at this Motor Lodge for 8 nights. We have stayed here before and the management is very considerate and works very hard to serve your needs. The rooms are clean and neat and comfortable and the price is reasonable as compared to other available hotels

It's been said it isn't the Ritz and that's true. However, it is clean, quiet and reflects the NH lifestyle. The place sits off the road in a residential/rural area away from traffic and loud noises: yet each room is visible from the office and the restaurant on the other side of the stream. The towels could be thicker and those cold Spring nights could stand for the heat to work: but you can get extra blankets and a sweat shirt worked fine too. They accept dogs for a fee and there's plenty of space along the stream to walk ... read more

My four-year-old Son and I stayed at the Claremont Motor Lodge for a week in August (2008). The Owners had just installed new siding and windows and the contractors were finishing up around the office area and had the soffits and fascia boards left to replace. The furniture, bedding and drapes appeared new as well. The room was clean and furnished with a sofa bed, coffee table, queen size bed (extremely comfortable), large four-drawer dresser, coat/hat shelf, small refrigerator, microwave and TV. To my surprise, we also had ... read more
