Great Pediatricians We love this practice. Have taken our children there for the past 10 years. Have seen most of the Dr.'s there and have been satisfied with all including nurse practitioners. Would recommend to anyone asking.
Happy with the Practice I have been very pleased with the care we have recieved from this practice. We are always called back promptly when we call with a concern, always receive appointments when child is sick (we love Sue), and most importantly, we have been very happy with all the doctors, I find the jr. docs to be as competant as the more sr. staff. Love this group! From my 32 yr old brother to my 2 yr old son, my family has never had a problem with any doctors here! Anytime I have had a question or concern about my child they have always been right there! They are great. Our regular doctor is Crock, but we have seen them all and love them ALL!
No bedside manner and questionable policies We've been w/ them for 3 years w/ 1st child and now newborn. We are changing providers immediately. Have had no "positive" visits, have had some "neutral", and multiple "poor experiences" with them. Overall - a lot of finger pointing (at their own staff, at us,a t other practitioners, etc), poor manners, excuses ("sorry we were rude to your wife on the phone, we're busy"), etc. We have not been at all impressed with the level of competence on medical issues, either.
Sleepy Hollow Peds I've used Sleepy Hollow Peds for nearly 18 years. I still remember our "interview" visit when I was pregnant with my first child. The doctors are good and nursing and other staff very responsive -- busy yes, but kind and responsive. In general the practice is better at the standard kid-stuff e.g. well-baby care, ear infections, etc. I've heard mixed views on how well they pick-up on rarer and more complex cases. Used to be good Overrated practice. To be fair, it appears to have had a good reputation at one time and we had no complaints about Traebert & Crock. But there's nothing spectacular about the others, especially the newer docs who aren't that great. Talking to other local parents, the number of people who complain about this practice is roughly equal to the number of people who rave about it. We are very happy with our daughter's care. We have seen several pediatricians here, although we choose to have my daughter (age 2) see the same one for her routine check-ups. We love the nursing staff for their compassion and humor, and have gotten great advice and care from all the doctors we've seen there. Some of the doctors have been working there for years and years, and they are superb. Our primary physician is one of the younger/newer doctors, and we think he is very knowledgeable and helpful...we had our pick of ped... read more
The best! We've been going to this practice for over 18 years, with four children and a full range of childhood illnesses and injuries. They are kind, responsive, accommodating, careful and thorough. When we see them, we always feel as though the care of our children is a partnership, that they are as deeply invested in the health of the kids as we are.
Where's the Leadership? We no longer go here; the inexperienced junior doctors aren't supervised closely by senior doctors, and we prefer not to take a chance w/our precious child!
