Not worth the trip. The waitress was really nice,(Mary, I think) but everything else was terrible. Cold food, warm iced tea and it was kinda dirty. Their TV dinners are better!

Very Bad – I used to like Claim Jumper, but the last two times I have been there, it was dreadful. Food was bad, portions were smaller and the service was just as bad. There Fish and Chips and the Country Fried Steak has so much breading on it, it is hard to find the meat or fish. We got some Chips and salsa and when the server brought it out to the table, she dumped the chips off the plate all over the table; she said she would bring some more chips, but did clean up the mess. The Chips were spongy and hard, not chrisp at a... read more

Don't bother... – First off, they must have a new manager or are getting really cheap. Long time favorite, potato cakes, are no longer being carried. I ordered the Ore Cart, what a disappointment! Years ago, they would give you 3 racks of ribs along with half a chicken, and assorted vegetables. That's gradually withered down to what I received tonight... a small rack of pork ribs (barely 1/4 rack) and two beef ribs. At least they still gave me half a chicken instead of chicken nuggets! All I can say at this point, is that I'... read more

A family affair for american food. – Its the great mining expeditions of the early 1900's and America has just established the roots of what is now often reffered to as its staple. Fast, filling, and rich comfort food. This is an establsihment that doesn't skimp on serving size. and I really mean it. A slam of a Rib Eye stake will get you filled up like nothing else. Their entrees were big enough to be shared by at least 3 persons. So when you're really hungry and you're looking to load up on some good portions of comfort fo... read more

Gold mining and dining unite at this kitschy all-American eatery. – In Short Established in 1977, the Claim Jumper draws families, seniors and professionals with a mix of Old-West decor and a reliable menu of American classics. Logs, corrugated tin, rock and warm fireplaces embellish the unique ambience. Signature plates include hickory-smoked pork ribs, rotisserie chicken and barbecued beef tri-tip; the menu also offers tortilla chicken soup, potpies, wood-fired pizzas, and the popular six-layer Chocolate Motherlode Cake. Huge portions, comfort food – I really like to go there when everybody is very hungry! My experience with the long wait to be seated (can be over an hour) has led me to dining there for "linner" very early dinner or very late lunch, however you want to look at it. Huge desserts The 'Motherlode' chocolate cake will serve about 7 people or if you are a chocoholic and a bottomless pit for a stomach, GO FOR IT!! That cake is soooooo good!
