Proper rib question.... Should the meat stick to the bone? Should your ribs be precut? If you answered yes and yes they got ribs for you. If you prefer ribs that fall off bone and rack is served as a rack.... Need to find a new place. CJ's used to do that but they have changed to "Texas" style - sticky and precut - terrible decision and when I voiced opinion I got the big "oh well". I threw out 10 precut ribs
Great food at a good price. The bbq is top notch. Would highly recommend.
My wife and I had a great time. At first I thought the prices were a little high but the brisket made it worth while. My wife's pulled-pork was smokey and flavorful. We liked that we could get as many sauces just to try them out and apply an amount to our liking. Mac and Cheese was pretty standard. Not as smokey as I was told but still good. Defiantly a place Chambersburg needs to keep around. Too many generic chains out there. One would have to split hairs to give a single star.
I have been to CJ's three times and have been pleased with my food each visit. I have had the pulled pork platter each visit. The portions are very generous and the food was great each time. We have needed a place like this in the area for a long time. The only suggestion I have is umbrellas to provide some shade in the outdoor seating area.

Delicious homemade BBQ and sauces! A must stop!!!
The meats we had there were very good, but any side we had there wasn't good at all. Some of the sides we had was: baked beans, cole slaw, some kind of greens, mac & cheese. If we are to come back you need to change the sides or improve the ones you have. We are not going to pay that price and get sides that we don't like.
Got a full rack, with Texas spicy sauce, cole slaw and beer batter french fries. The ribs were some of the best I have eaten, very meaty and the sauce was excellent. I will be going back again. Would highly recommend CJ'S to everyone who loves BBQ...!!!
