I hate to rate this establishment so low but this particular time the rating was well earned. Being understaffed ruins dining experiences; forces the customer to grin and bear it. We weren't happy.
We visited City Perch with a group of six. The hostess was pleasant. She prepped the table and seated us quickly, but our server Kayla seemed uninterested from the start. After 45 minutes we had no food or drinks, and only received our food after asking. The drinks never came. The manager brushed us off, saying he was too busy, and Kayla never returned. No apology, no acknowledgment. Truly a disappointing experience.
I used to love it here but their service has gone completely downhill. Like others have said, the server was responsive at first and then just fell off the planet. I was right in his line of vision but he just quit showing up and was instead laughing and messing around. I finally asked another server to get his attention and he STILL didn’t come around. I finally had to ask management for the check (which they slightly comped) so I could just leave. Will not be back.
